 Sunrise Worship Music Ministry

Preschool Choir

For children 4 years - K5, our Preschool Choir is led by Robin Owen and Angela Reese. They meet each Wednesday from 5:30 - 6:15 p.m. from September through May. They perform several times each year during our Sunday morning worship service.

Children's Choir

For children 1st - 5th grades, our Children's Choir is led by Joy Bryan and meets each Wednesday from 5:30 - 6:15 p.m. from September to May. They perform several times each year during our Sunday morning worship service.

Youth Choir

For students 6th - 12th grade, our Youth Choir rehearses each Sunday from 4:45 - 6:00 p.m. during the school year. Their music consists of contemporary praise and worship songs and choruses. They perform during our Sunday morning worship services throughout the year. The Youth Choir also plans a Summer Mission Trip Concert. In past years the choir has shared the gospel through song in Florida, Louisiana, Virginia, Washington, D.C., New York, South Carolina, Mississippi, and Texas.

Adult Choir - Celebration Singers

Our Celebration Singers is one of the primary worship leading choirs in the worship music ministry at Sunrise. They sing and lead worship during the 11:00 a.m. hour each Sunday. The group is made up of individuals 18 years and older. Their music is a combination of traditional, southern gospel, and contemporary Christian music and anthem medleys. The Celebration Singers also participate in special services, musicals, and other choral events during the year. Each fall the Celebration Singers enjoy a weekend retreat during which they preview and rehearse the speical music to be presented during the Christmas season.

They rehearse Wednesday evenings from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m.

Senior Adult Choir - Joy Singers

One of our fastest growing musical groups is our senior adult choir. They rehearse every Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. and sing each Sunday during our 8:30 a.m. worship service. They also perform off campus at assisted living centers, nursing homes, and at other events. Each year the Joy Singers attend the Senior Adult Choir festival hosted by the Georgia Baptist Convention.

Praise Band

Our Sunrise Praise Band consists of instrumental musicians playing rhythm guitar, electric keyboard, piano, organ, bass guitar, and drums during our 11:00 a.m. worship service.  The Praise Band rehearses on Wednesday evenings at 6:30 p.m.

Orchestra

The Sunrise Orchestra consists of brass, woodwind, and stringed instruments. They perform monthly during both our morning services.
